Pistol 101

Pistol 101 is designed to give the new shooter everything they need to create a strong foundation in the use and fundamentals of firearms. This course will also benefit most long-time shooters who never went to any formal type of Firearm instruction.

H.R, 218 also known as the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act. It is not only for carrying your firearm out of the issuing state, but also a requirement for renewing your pistol permit.

  • Yes, active permits are required for all pistol courses EXCEPT the NYS Firearms Safety Course (CCW) 16+2 hour concealed carry weapons course.

    However for this exception to be applicable, you must have a pending application with your county. A pending application means that you have registered online through the county website and started the application process.

  • Absolutely! Pistol 101 is designed for the beginner who has very little firearm experience and no formal training. This course sets the foundation in which to build upon.

  • No worries. A lot of our newer students are nervous at first. Our highly experienced, educated, dedicated, and professional instructors know how to calm those fears.
